The baby unit currently has 80 babies ages 0-3.  ICCO provides 90% of the salaries for 33 ayis (caregivers) who care for the children as well as wash linens,clothes and clean the facilities.  We provide training by our physical therapist that teaches the ayis how to properly hold babies while feeding as feeding is so important for bonding and for speech development.  They also learn simple techniques to massage and stretch the children to improve flexibility and strength.
